AI SEO and GEO agency that gets your brand cited

Cited is an AI SEO and GEO agency with its own tracking platform. We ask the questions your buyers ask on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini and the other AI engines, find out why competitors are named instead of you, then write, fix and publish the work that changes those answers.

What an AI SEO and GEO agency does

Search has split in two. People still type into Google, but many now also ask an AI engine and read one written answer instead of ten links. That answer names a few brands and links a few sources. An AI SEO and GEO agency works on that answer: whether your brand is in it, where, how it is described, and which websites the engine trusted to decide.

The work overlaps with classic SEO, because most AI engines search the web before they answer. But a ranking is not a mention. The page that ranks third for a query can still be the page an engine quotes, and a brand that ranks first can be left out of the answer entirely. Our AI SEO and GEO guide explains the difference in detail.

Why a tool alone doesn’t move the answer

Tracking tools tell you where you stand. They can’t write the comparison page an engine is missing, fix the listing that describes you wrongly, or earn a mention on the roundup every engine reads. That work takes writers, strategists and time, and a dashboard on its own doesn’t do it.

Cited sells both in one: the platform that measures every answer, and the team that acts on it. You get the evidence and the work, and one weekly report that connects the two.

What you get

  • Prompt tracking on every engine we cover, from your country, language and city, against the competitors you name and the ones the engines name for you.
  • A gap analysis per prompt: the sources each engine cites, which of them mention you, and which mention only competitors.
  • Content written by our copywriters: guides, comparison pages, FAQ pages and rewrites of existing pages, each briefed from what engines already cite.
  • Technical and on-page SEO fixes, so the pages engines need can be crawled, indexed and quoted.
  • Profile and listing fixes on the sites engines read when they describe you.
  • A weekly report from your strategist: what moved, what changed and what we do next.
  • Proof of lift: target prompts compared with untouched control prompts, so you see what the work changed.

How it works

  1. Free AI visibility audit. On the first call we run your prompts across the engines and show you where you and your competitors stand today.
  2. Prompt set and baseline. We agree the prompts that matter, split them into target and control prompts, and record the starting numbers.
  3. First month. Technical fixes, profile and listing fixes, and the first briefs and pages.
  4. Every month after. New content, updates and placements, steered by what the weekly numbers show.
  5. Every week. Your strategist reports what moved and what we are doing about it.

Which engines we cover

We track and work on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Perplexity, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot and Claude, alongside Google Search itself. Each engine builds its answer differently. In our October 2026 study of 150 AI answers, ChatGPT listed 16.6 websites per answer as sources on average and Google AI Mode just 2.5, so the sources worth earning differ by engine.

How long it takes

Every engagement runs three months to start, then month to month. Each location gets 80 to 85 hours of our team’s work every month. Profile and listing fixes can move Google Maps rankings within weeks; changes in AI answers usually take 60 to 90 days, because engines have to find, read and trust new content before they repeat it.

Who it’s for

  • B2B and SaaS companies whose buyers ask AI engines to shortlist vendors. See our SaaS SEO agency page.
  • Local and multi-location businesses that need to be recommended for “near me” questions. See local SEO services.
  • Agencies that want to offer AI visibility to their own clients. See AI SEO and GEO for agencies.

Questions

What is the difference between an AI SEO and GEO agency and an SEO agency?

An SEO agency works on where your pages rank in search results. An AI SEO and GEO agency works on whether AI engines name and cite you in their answers. The two overlap, because most engines search before they answer, so we do both and measure both.

Do you guarantee my brand will be cited?

No one can honestly guarantee what an AI engine will say. What we promise is the work, the measurement and the evidence: target prompts compared with control prompts, so you can see whether the work changed the answers.

How soon will I see a change?

Profile and listing fixes can move Google Maps rankings within weeks. Changes in AI answers usually take 60 to 90 days. The weekly report shows both as they happen.

Do I need to write anything myself?

No. Our copywriters write and our strategists edit. You review and approve, and we can publish directly if you give us access to your site.
